Yuletide Village

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today, I’m starting my Yuletide Village series. Now, I told you all at last week’s Facebook Friday that this week we’d be using the Surfing Santa. Well, when I went to get my stamp set to start designing, I couldn’t find it!! I don’t know if I gave it away as a prize or I just misplaced it, but I can’t find it anywhere! So, I’ll order it this week it and we’ll use it during my Twelve Days of Christmas series in December. .

The Yuletide Village stamp set is a fun one. It’s all open line images so we can use our Stampin’ Blends to color! You all know I love to color! Of course you can also use Watercolor Pencils or even watercolor with an Aqua Painter, but I chose to use Stmpin’ Blends. I used Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Old Olive and Real Red. I added a bit of Pool Party ink to the center of a Thick Basic White card base with a Small Blending Bursh. I stamped the church in Memento Black in the middle. I stamped it again on another piece of Basic White and colored the second piece. I cut out the church from the second piece with Paper Snips and glued it to the card base. The reason you stamp it here first is so you get those landscape lines without having to try and cut them out. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Season set and stamped in Real Red ink. I cut 1/2″ off the card front and added a 1/2″ strip of Gold Foil and a 1/2″ strip of Take a Bow Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the ssecond sentiment on the inside in Real Red and stamped the snow in Pool Party ink around it.
