Wildlife Wonder and Oceanfront

Hello everyone and welcome back. Today, I have another set of Wildlife Wonder cards. In case you missed it, I had two other cards posted here last week. Today’s cards are the same except for one piece which I think you will find interesting. Like last week’s cards, I made these several months ago and just never shared them!

I just love this bear. He looks just like the Baylor Bear’s mascots Lady and Joy! (I’m a Baylor alumni and my daughter currently attends!) I stamped him in Soft Suede and cut him out with Paper Snips. The background piece is from the Flowering Fields DSP. The sunset image was actually stamped using the Oceanfront stamp. I used Mango Melody, Calypso Coral and Old Olive inks and stamped on Basic White Cardstock. This is the piece you will see changed in the next card.

Now, check out the sunset piece. See how it’s textured? This time, I stamped it on our Linen Specialty Paper! Have you seen this paper? It’s really cool! It looks just like fabric, but it cuts just like paper. It’s very thin and lightweight. Doesn’t it look neat with that stamped sunset? I just love it and can’t wait to use it again.

Accessories used on these cards include Linen Thread and Pebble Enamel Dots. The paper and the Dots are in the current Spring Catalog. The Catalog Retired List comes out this afternoon, so if you like them, make sure to get them before they’re gone! I’ll update this post with the link once it’s out!

These two cards are again much different than the usual cards I make. They are masculine cards, which we always need! I’ll be back tomorrow with a sneak peek of this week’s Facebook Friday (Potted Geraniums!)
