The Wheels on the Bus…

It’s that time of year! As you read this, I am probably preparing lesson plans, taping name tags, and organizing zillions of books! So, this card is a tribute to all of us teachers who are ragged this time of the year! (And think, its only beggining!)

I was able to combine three challenges today! Just Add Ink is honoring the Helping Hudson charity and challenged us all to use wheels on our card!

The Diva’s provided me with the sketch and Creating with Connie and Mary provided the theme: BACK TO SCHOOL!

First, I tried to give my background a muddy appreance. I used stamps from Extreme Elemnts for this. Second, I had to add a little road for that diagnol strip! And, of course, lost of little busses that my friends will be arriving on! Hopefully, they won’t get muddy on their way to my sparkly clean classroom!! LOL! It won’t stay that way for long….

Stamps: Every Little Bit, Extreme Elements, Family Phrases

Ink and Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, So Saffron,

Other: Whisper White Grossgrain Ribbon, black buttons, red twine, stampin write markers, silver gel pen, distreeing tool

And for those of you out there with little ones going to school soon, remember one thing! A teacher appreciates no gift more that a hand written thank you note! It means the world to a teacher to hear how she is effecting a child! Don’t forget to tell your teachers how you feel! 🙂
