What a Weekend!

Hi everybody! The blog has been quiet for a few days because I have been out of town. I spent 48 hours in heaven.. LOL… Ok, well, it was really a Scrapbook Retreat! This is my second SB Retreat and it was so much fun! I went with three high school friends to Rockin R Scrapbook Retreat Center in Temple, Texas. If you live in Texas and are looking for a weekend girlfriend getaway, this is the place! I took no pictures this year, but HERE is my post from the last time I went.

I completed 27 layouts! Less than less time, but a lot none the less. The first one I am going to show uses the sketch from Sketchy Thursday that is for the Guest Designer Contest.

Now, for all my Stampin’ Up friends, you know I usually do all SU, but theses layouts are an exception, so please don’t hang me out to dry! But, this page does include a sneak peek from the new upcoming IBC. A pennant punch! I am so excited about this punch. We passed that baby all around this weekend and it was in constant use. It is a MUST HAVE and I would think it should most definitely be on your first new catalog order!

We had these AMAZING pictures made last Monday on memorial Day. I chose a red, white and blue theme because the background was such an amazing blue. So, these pictures fit perfectly into the inspiration part of the GDT challenge!

A few chipboard cherries also help fulfill the challenge, but also represent the “sweetness” of the picture! (The look sweet and innocent don’t they? Ha! This picture was snapped in between a few cat fights!) That’s our sweet dog Mac. He was a good boy for the shoot.

Look at these babies! I am completely addicted to banners. I mean, I actually had to put myself on Banner Restriction at one point this weekend otherwise ever single page would have had some form of banners!

My other addiction these days is twine. Can’t get enough of it and own it in every color ever created! It’s perfect for adding something to your photo with out taking away from the picture itself. And, it’s also perfect for including a charm!

So, this week, I will catch up on sleep! We got very little sleep because we were so engrossed in scrapping. It really is like a time warp when your there. You loose all sense of time and are shocked every time you look at the clock! So, stay tuned for lots more from my fun weekend! I have so much to show you!

Have a great Monday!
