TGIF everybody! Whoo hoo! I’m feeling good today and am so excited because my Baylor Bears kicked booty last night against the Sooners! I love Baylor Football and this year we are better than we’ve ever been! Ranked #5 in the nation, which is the first time ever! Sic’ em Bears!!
OK, enough with that, it’s time for a new challenge at The Friday Mash Up!
Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
- Create a project with a “Game/Woodsy type Animal (Deer, Moose, Turkey, etc). “
- Create a project using a “Woodgrain look. “
- Or Mash it Up and create a “project with Woodgrain and a Woodsy animal image. “
I just love this deer. It reminds me of my husband and his coveted mounted deer head. When we first got married, I was supportive and loving and let him hang it in the dining room.
It now hangs in the garage.. 😉
But, this stamp is cute enough to hang int he house. I stamped it in Versa Mark on Naturals DSP and embossed it in Whisper White. It didn’t stamp solid as you can see on the bottom, but I like the way it looks because it gives the card a vintage feel, don’t you think?
I put the sentiment on the inside because I liked the simplicity of the front with out it.
Ok, make sure you hop over to The Friday Mash Up and check out the other beautiful creations. Make some time this week to link up with us too!

I think the way the deer came out looks really rustic. If you hadnt said anything I would have thought it was on purpose 🙂
I love how you take a masculine image like this and give it your own twist!
