Valentine Tin Chocolate Cakes

Hello everyone- welcome back! Last night, I hosted my team meeting here at my house (and on FB Live for all my downline who aren’t local.) I wanted to do something a little fun, so I baked these adorable little heart shaped chocolate cakes for each of them. They were baked in Stampin’ Up’s Valentine Tins.
I used a store bought cake mix and sprayed the tins with Baker’s Joy. Each tin is about the size of a cupcake. I used a large muffin scoop to scoop the batter in and then cooked them following the directions for cupcakes.

I kind of did this without planning ahead, so I had no remade icing and resorted to Google. I made a quick chocolate icing and iced them. The easier thing to do would be to bake brownies in them so you wouldn’t have to ice them! But, the icing was fun and my kids loved the left overs!

So yes, you can bake right in the little tins!! I lined them up on a cookie sheet and filled them up and cooked them in my oven. After they were iced I popped the clear lids right on top and there was no clean up. (Ok, well the bowl my kids licked clean did go in the dishwasher!!)

For the tops, I added a Heart Doily, which is a perfect fit. I punched a heart from the From My Heart DSP using the Heart Punch Pack and then stamped the sentiment from Heartfelt on a 1 1/4″ circle. All of them are attached with Dimensionals. Easy Peasy! These would be so perfect for a class party or a fun office surprise!
