Thinking of you…

Today’s card was inspired by Shellie Gardner’s August Challenge. A “thinking of you” is probably the most important card you can send out. Those people who may be down or having a hard time would be so touched by the fact that you have thought and prayed for them. I really need to keep more of these kinds of cards around!
I also used the colors from Diva Coffee Break Designs and the sketch from CAS.

I embossed this sweet fall tree (NEW STAMP IN THE HOLIDAY MINI!) iN something unusual- Basic Grey and Silver Embossing Powder. I was trying to go for the silhouette look. After the embossing, I sprayed the watercolor paper with water and then dripped the Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight reinkers on it. I love this technique. It made the back ground look kind of like a sunset, I think!

I used a new stamp set that is quickly becoming a favorite! It is called Petite Pairs. The sentiments go together and I think they are intended to be used inside and outside of a card. I used them both on the front with a few little trinket embellishments and a piece of Basic Grey Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I ripped the Striped Grosgrain ribbon down the middle, creating this ragged look. I adore this ribbon and sometimes it’s just too thick for a card. So, cutting it down the middle is a great solution! The DSP I used is a new upcoming set available Sept. 1 in the Holiday Mini. It’s actually Halloween Paper called Pick Your Poison. Love. It! Lastly, I added a trinket key. So sweet!
Thanks so much for visiting today!

  1. Erika, this is gorgeous! How do you find all the time to do this and work full-time. I've gotta get my act in gear!
