In my real life, I am a first grade teacher…

This is a FUN week at my school, as we are showered with goodies all week!

It’s a tough, but rewarding job. I’d never trade it!

But, I am also a mom of three girls! All three go to my shool, so I am also responible for showering their teachers with goodies! And, between the three of them, we have eight teachers!! My preschooler has 5 in her classroom, plus her speech teacher! And, to top it off, with my kids so close in age, we’ve had the same preschool teachers for the last 4 years! So, not only do I have to think of something new and fresh each year, I also have to get a little creative with my money!
One thing I do every year is this cupcake in a jar. It’s to die for delicious, so I don’t mind repeating it each year. You can find the recipe here.
I put all my retiring fabric and ribbon to good use! And, since I was trying to spread my dollar, I decided to stick witht he mason Jar theme. Each day, they are getting a Mason Jar full of goodies! And, as an added bonus, I get to use my favorite stamp set ever; Perfectly Preserved.
On Tuesday, I created a tag that says “I doughnut know what I’d do with out you!” I filled the jar with doughnut holes!
I printed the sentiment on the computer and then stamped over it and cut it out with the Framelit.
Wednesday was “Bring your teacher something for their classroom from their wishlist.” So, I bought a bunch of cute shaped post it notes, magnets, clips, mini clothespin, Sharpies and chocolate. This time, i created the tag on MDS and printed it on my printer. I tied a little calculator to the front as well.
These Mason Jars were spray painted blue.
Stay tuned to the last two Mason Jar gifts. I will hopefully post them this weekend!! You can year’s past gifts by clicking the Teacher Appreciation Label below.
Don’t forget to thank the teacher in your child’s life this week! 🙂
