Hello everyone! Welcome back! I’m so sorry I didn’t post yesterday. We’ve been hit with the winter sniffles and I have kind of been out of it. Everyone is ok, just feeling yucky.
Today, I am again showcasing my Million Dollar Sales Achievers stamp set, Taco Fiesta. This will be my last project for a while featuring this set. Today’s card is actually the card I made for swaps in November. It again features that bright southwestern color scheme I’ve been kind of sticking with.
For this card, I wanted to create a kind of distressed, desert looking background. I started with a piece of Mango Melody Cardstock. I inked the edges with Mango Melody Ink. Next, I cut a Crumb Cake “cloud border” using the Basic Border Dies and added it to the bottom of the rectangle. I thought it looked a little like the desert floor. I cut them out with a Stitched Rectangle Die and then embossed the piece with the Worn Type Embossing Folder. I flicked Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend ink all over it. I colored my tacos with Mango Melody, Sweet Sorbet, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut them with my Paper Snips and added them to the scene.
For the striped border, I cut 1/2″ strips of Sweet Sorbet, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Cardstock and glued them to a scrap piece of Cardstock. I sliced them down to 1″ strips and added it to the left side of the card front. I added a Basic Black Ric Rac border and then tied Basic Black Twine around the card front. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in a Basic White Stylish Shape Banner and added some Matte Black Dots.

4 3/4″ X 3 1/2″ Stitched Rectangle, make the cardstock a bit bigger first
