Hi everybody! I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to blogging! The jet lag has been unbearable this week and I have had a million things to catch up on! Plus, I took over 1000 pictures and the thought of narrowing them down and editing them made me nauseous! Ha!
Today, I am going to share with you Day 1 and 2 of my trip of a lifetime. Last year, I earned the Stampin’ Up Incentive trip, thanks to my loyal customers and hardworking downline. My husband and I left the kids with my parents and headed to Barcelona!
The best part of any incentive trip is spending time with your other Demo friends. And what do you know, when we made our connecting flight in Atlanta, there were Demos everywhere! I ran into my friend Darla Roberts at the gate and we chatted a bit.
I was very nervous about the long flight. But, I had paid to upgrade our seats a bit and it made a huge difference! I was nice and rested by the time we landed.
We checked into the hotel, freshened up and headed out to see the city with our friends Ronda Wade and her husband Eric. First stop was the La Boqueria market. It was a feast for the senses for sure!
We didn’t buy anything but Gelato. And it didn’t disappoint!
Next we headed out into the Gothic District. Lots of narrow winding alleys with beautiful shops, like this hat shop. I loved the two old men in front window shopping!
We were ready for a nap and we headed out to look for a taxi. We stumbled on to this beautiful cathedral.
After our nap, we headed back out to see Gaudi’s Famalia Sargada. There are NO WORDS for how amazing this cathedral was. It’s been under construction for over 100 years!
The inside left me speechless.
One side had stained glass in all warm colors and the other side had stained glass in all cool colors. It was breathtaking!
My husband snapped this picture of me while I was admiring the colors. Look at that light!!
If you are ever in Barcelona, you must make this site your top priority!
We headed back to La Rambla and found some dinner. And some of the best Sangria I have ever had!
Back at the hotel, we ran into more friends, Christie Beck and Genevive Ko. Everyone was happy and excited to be in Europe!
We enjoyed dinner in the hotel and then headed off to bed. We were so excited to get on the ship the next day!
The cruise ship we were on was called the Norwegian Epic. It was HUGE and had lots of waterslides. I kept thinking how much my kids would have loved it…
Our room was quite small, but fortunately this trip was jam packed and we knew we wouldn’t be in there very often!
And lastly, here is our first pillow gift. A Pillow Gift is a special surprise Stampin’ Up leaves for you every night on your bed! It’s probably the very best thing about a SU incentive trip! When else do you get surprise presents every night!?!?
Cute hat, eh? 😉
OK, I’ll be back tomorrow with more pictures! Hope you’ll stop back by!
