Stamp Camp Projects

This past weekend, I helped host the Sweet Summer Stamp Camp with my friend Erin Gonzales and a couple of our downline. It was a great success! We focused on the Papillion Potpourri Stamp Set and the Elegant Butterfly punch. For the price of the camp, everyone went home with their own stamp set and punch!

We each had a table set up with a project.

I showed you mine yesterday, this Card Keeper and 4 note cards.

My downline Stevie made a beautiful scrapbook page.

Erin did this adorable card with a magnetic bookmark that detaches.

And Erin’s downline Mandie made this beautiful card.

Lot’s of Big Shots in use!

It was lots of fun and we’ve already begun planning our next one which will be a Holiday Stamp Camp in October! So, stay tuned for details!

For snack, I brought Lori Heiling’s Microwave Carmel Corn. I bring it everwhere, and everyone always wants the recipe! We’ve decided the appropriate name for this is Crack Corn becuase it’s extremly addicting! My husband has me make this for his customers every Christmas as well! Seriously, the best stuff ever!!! So ladies, here it is!
Microwave Caramel
Corn

½ C. butter
1 C. brown sugar
¼ C. dark Karo syrup
Dash of
salt
Microwave on high 4 mn. in a glass bowl. Stir after 2
mn.

Then add:
½ t. baking soda
1/8 t. vanilla
Stir until
fluffy. Pour this over the puffed popcorn (I use one full bag of the popcorn)
that is in a large Tupperware bowl (or one that is ok to go back into the
microwave.) Stir this up, then microwave for 2 minutes, stirring after 1
minute.

Spread this out on wax paper to let it cool.

Melt 3-4 squares of White Almond bark and drizzle over the popcorn.

The puffcorn I buy is the same thing as “Pirate’s Booty” that I see everyehere, but this is much cheeper! I get it at HEB, Targe and almost every gas station around here sells it! It’s always $2 a bag!
The puffcorn looks like this:

  1. Hi Erica! Oh you are so sweet to give a shout out to me for that recipe! I giggle because I'm not much of a cook but that recipe is a hit! (I LOVE it because it turns out every time!) LOVELOVELOVE your blog and projects. You are so deserving of the Artisan Award!! Maybe I will see you at convention this year!

  2. I check your site every now and then and enjoy your creativity, style and energy. Thank you for the recipe for the popocorn too. I made a similar one in the oven in a roasting pan years ago. Love that popcorn cause it doesn't have kernel thingys to get stuck in your teeth. I really appreciate that you "show" what the popcorn looks like so it is quite clear. Thank you.
