Scrapbook Satruday!

Good Morning! I’m so excited this morning because today is the first day of Spring Break for me! Yay! I plan on spending lots of time in the “Bat Cave” this week! And my mom is coming to stay for a few days so that means shopping and crafting with my favorite partner in crime! (Not to mention she is great entertainment for my kids! HA! Thanks MOM!!!)

Today’s page features my middle daughter’s school picture this year. I like to scrap school pictures because, really what else do you do with them? I mean, you get this large package of less than stellar photography of your kids… But, it’s a great little window in time to look back on. Isn’t she cute in this picture? She has already changed SO much in just a few months!

I used a real mix of DSP on this layout. Mocha Morning (black circles), Big Top Birthday (stars), Twiterpated (red floral), and First Edition (newsprint.) That’s what I love the most about SU products- you can mix different series of papers and the colors will match perfectly!

The tag was made with a pretty good mix of stamp sets as well. First, I stamped the back ground with the School Lines background stamp. Next, I stamped just the tree from Easy Events and then colored it in with a blender pen and stamp pad ink. “Sweet Little” is from Fabulous Phrases, “Pre” is from Sweet Shoppe Alphabet Lower, “K” is from Letter It and Memories is form “Loving Thoughts.” Wow! I think that might be a record for me for Most Stamps Sets Used in One Project! LOL!

Last, I added a simple little banner made by punching DSP with the 1 3/4″ circle punch and folding them over. I added little twine bows and a few Basic Pearls.
