Scenic Adventures Sunset

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today I have another Scenic Adventure card to share with you. Mae sure to check out last week’s Facebook Friday three Scenic Adventures projects here and another card I created for a blog hop here.

Today’s card is a doozy- lots of layers and some inking. But, with that said, it really isn’t difficult. I started with a piece of Basic White Cardstock and added layers of Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger, Gorgeous Grape and Secret Sea ink to create the sunset. I used large Blending Brushes to do this. It takes some time and patience and your arm might get a little sore. But, once you acheaive that rich color, you’ll know it was worth it! I flicked some water with my fingers on the finished piece to create the stars/clouds. The water kind of removes the color in those areas. I cut the moon using the included die and added a piece of Silver Foil behind it to shine through. I also stamped a few Mossy Meadow Trees in the middle. I cut the piece out with a Textured Notes rectangle die.

I cut the layers from Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive Cardstock. I layered them all with adhesive, trimming the edges to match the edges of the rectangle. And looking at the photos, one of my trees as slipped to the left! It wasn’t supposed to be like that… I am currently on an airplane and can’t rephotograph it, but just know, it was suppsoed to be straight! Lastly, I attached it to a piece of Basic Grey Cardstock and then added the stack to a Basic Grey Card base with DImensionals. I added a Mossy Meadow bow around the bottom. Inside, I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and the clouds in Smoky Slate ink on a piece of Basic White Cardstock and adhered that to the inside of the card base.

4 1/4″ X 11″ Basic Gray Cardstock
4″ X 5 1/4″ Basic Gray and Basic White Cardstock
