Regency Park

Hello everyone! We’re headed home today from our New Mexico/West Texas Spring Break. It’s been a fun week but I’m ready to sleep in my own bed again!

Our last park to visit was Carslbad Caverns National Park. All I can say about this park is- WHOA! There aren’t words to describe this place! It truly is incredible! The cane was discovered in the late 1800s by a 16 year old boy. He was brave enough to drop down into the cave and explore. My brain can’t even begin to understand this! The cave is 75 stories below the ground! And when we wen’t obviously it had all the modern day additions- lights, bathrooms and a snack bar! When this young man dropped down into the cave, he had none of that. No lights- I can’t even imagine how scary that would be. And where was his mother?? Did she know he was doing that?! Crazy!!

The mile and a half “natural entrance” is the best part. You brain just can’t process all the things you’re seeing. I was worried I’d feel claustrophobic- I really am a big chicken. But, not, I never felt like that. It was just seriously amazing.

If you’re ever in South East New Mexico- make it a point to visit this park! Of the 16 National Parkes we’ve visited, this is up there in the top three for sure!

It was strange traveling without our oldest. Her Spring Break was last week and she actually went on a student trip (college) to Big Bend NP. So, we were a party of four instead of five. It just felt so weird! But, it was nice spending uninterrupted time with my teenagers. We had very little service most of the time and they were forced to talk to us- ha! Always worth the trip to get to spend quality time with my girls.

Today’s card is a pretty simple one. I started with two prints from the Regency Park DSP. Added a Night of Navy border cut with the Elegant Border Dies (online exclusives.) The little tag was cut using a die from the Pretty Pillow Box Dies. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy and is from the Conversation Bubbles stamp set. I added a few Night of Navy and Balmy Blue flowers cut with Sentimental Park Dies. Lastly, I added a Night of Navy Bow.
