Pretty Pumpkins and Grapevine Dies - Pink Buckaroo Designs

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I am so happy to say I am feeling 100% today! Whew, what a yucky week I had last week. I am anxious to get back to work! Thank you for your patience and understanding last week when I had to postpone Facebook Friday.

This week’s Facebook Friday will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm CST. I’ll be featuring the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle. I LOVE pumpkins and Fall. So, I always gravitate to that section of the Holiday catalog. This year the pumpkin stamp set is really interesting. The dies are unique on their own even if you don’t use them with the stamp set! I can’t wait to show you all the things I’ve come up with. I think I’ve got five projects so far!

So, today, I want to show you a card I created. I realized the Grapevine Dies go really well with the pumpkins! They look like a pumpkin vine! So, I pulled them out and cut them out in both Kraft and Mossy Meadow cardtosck. I stamped the pumpkins in several colors: Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papaya, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Old Olive. I again stamped it in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla. I cut all the colored pumpkins, stems and leaves out with Paper Snips. I then glued them to the Vanilla piece so that each pumpkin is a different color and the stems and leaves are the correct colors. I then cut the whole thing out with the matching die. Was it alot of work? Sure. Was it worth the effort? Absolutely! And you really could get three sets of pumpkins out of each color if you stamped it two more times on Vanilla.

I adhered the vine and pumpkins to a Very Vanilla Stitched Rectangle. Next, I used the Basic Pattern Masks and a Blending Brush to create a Soft Suede background on a Soft Suede card base. For the full details, make sure to check out the supply list below.
