Hi everyone! I have been a super busy bee since I received my pre-order box of stamps and paper from the new Stampin Up’ Summer Mini! It really inspired me! I needed a kick in the Mojo!!
I combined two challenges today, Paper Pal Arts, which was an inspiration challenge to use flowers, and the Curtain Call Color Challenge. Yikes! That was my reaction when I saw these colors. So BRIGHT. Not my normal colors and colors I honestly hardly ever use. But, thats why its called a challenge right? And, SU announced these colors are part of the retiring group, so I might as well use them while I can!
So, I grabbed one of my new sets called Tropical Party (sneak peak!!) and got to work! This stamp set was perfect for these colors as well as the flower theme!
Doesn’t this just make you want to jump on a plane to Hawaii?? Sigh…someday….
Ink and Paper: Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Only Orange, Yo Yo Yellow, Chocolate Chip, whisper White
Stamps: Tropical Party, Favorite Thoughts (also available May 1)
Other: Wood Sheet, Skittles (non-SU), Stampin Dimensionals
And, as promised, here is the first page we will be making at my National Scrapbook Month Celebration Crop on May 22.
This page also features Tropical Party as well as brand new Design Studio Paper called Island Oasis. The sketch is by Valerie Salmon and requires 3 photos, but can easily be adapted to use more or less photos. After using this paper alot this weekend, I might have to say its my favorite to date. The colors are fabulous together and really offer lots of possibilities!
Check back tomorrow for more previews!
