Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving week. I’m back in the studio after taking most of last week off and really trying to catch up! I’ve got my Twelve Days of Christmas series starting on Wednesday and a 2024 Calendar Class coming to you later this week. But, today, I’d like to share a Modern Garden Christmas card with you.
The Holiday Mini Catalog is now in the last weeks of publication. Ok, well, we have until the beginning of January, but the Retirement Sale has begun and everything ont hat list is while supplies last. You can see the complete list here. Included on that list is the Modern Garden Suite. It’s a really unique suite because it covers Christmas, but also general florals that can be used all year long. December’s Club Create kit will also feature this suite and will actually be all non Christmas projects.
For today’s card, I started with a Pretty Peacock card base. I added two pieces of Garden Walk DSP to a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White. I added a piece of Gold Trim down the seam of the two pieces of DSP and wrapped it around to the back of the cardstock. The Garden Walk flower is stamped in Poppy Parade ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips. I stamped it again in lighter strength (stamping off on scratch paper first) on Basic White with the sentiment stamped over in Pretty Peacock. Then, I punched it out with the Modern Oval punch. I added it all to the card base with Dimensionals. I cut stems from Distressed Gold and Garden Green Cardstock using the Magical Meadow Dies and tucked them behind the oval. Lastly, I added a few Blooming Pearls.
4 1/4″ X 11″ Pretty Peacock Cardstock
4″ X 5 1/4″ Basic White Cardstock
2 1/2″ X 3 7/8″ DSP
1 1/4″ X 3 7/8″ DSP
Tomorrow begins my annual Twelve Days of Christmas series. Each day, I will have two projects for your featuring a stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. They will typically coordinate so you can give them together. And, they will all have videos! All videos will be prerecorded except for days 3, 8 and 12 when I will go live on Facebook. This year, I will be adding a PDF. Each day I will add both projects to a Twelve Days of Christmas PDF and at the end of the series, everyone who has spent $50 with me in December will get it for Free (along with the All Star PDF.) And for those of you asking, yes, it will be available in my PDF store too! The schedule above is tentative! I will change stamps if they sell out. And of course, I will be offering free Make and Take packages each week to those who shop with me. Full details will be published in tomorrow’s post.
