Mediterranean Cruise- Day 2 and 3 (At Sea, Naples, Sorento Coast and Pompeii)
Hello everybody! I’m back today with pictures from day 2 and 3 of our recent Stampin’ Up incentive trip the Mediterranean.
Our first full day on the ship was an “at sea day.” I always like these because we get to take full advantage of the amenities of the ship. And take a nap. I do love a good nap! 😉
We had a planned General Session with Stampin’ Up in the morning. It was so fun to see some main stage stamping!
It’s always fun for me to take my hubby to a Stampin’ Up General Session. It gives him a better sense of what I do and I like for him to feel a part of it. The guys were all pleasantly surprised with a Prize Patrol just for them! They all received these awesome hats! Pictured with my husband Ted is Hayoto, Allison Okamitsu’s husband and behind him is Sean, Angela McKay’s husband. They got to be pretty good friends on this trip, which makes it all so much more fun!
Speaking of Allison, she won prize patrol too!
And we all got an All Attendee Give away- the new In Color DSP stack- woot!
After lunch we headed to the Hospitality Room and spun the prize wheel. Yes, a prize wheel full of SU goodies! Everyday, we spun the wheel and got new product! So spoiled!!
The Hospitality room is also filled with lots of beautiful displays!
Swoon!
Ted and I found the “Quiet Zone” sun deck at the front of the ship and it became one of our favorite places tidiest chill out. We were freezing through- notice the jackets! LOL!
Later that night, we had dinner with the Wades, the Pattersons and the Judas. Have I mentioned how much i love the part of the trips where we get to spend time with our Demo friends!?!?!
And when we returned to our room, our pillow gift was waiting!
Can you believe this!?!? A cute little cross body Doony & Burke purse! Plus FOUR bolts of ribbon! Wowza!!!
When we woke the next day we were in Naples. That is Mt. Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for Pompeii. Can you see the crater in the middle? Yikes!
This was my favorite excursion of them all. We loaded the bus with our travel buddies and headed to Sorento.
Our tour guide was the BEST we had. His name was Nello and he was 100% Italian! Everything you hoped from a fun Italian tour guide is what we got. If you go to Italy, make sure you check out Can’t Be Missed Tours. We were thrilled with our experience.
The first thing we learned is that the driving in Naples is CRAZY! Apparently that white line is a suggestion. Or, it’s a guide for the cyclist. We had to close our eyes…
We stopped in Sorento and had time to do some exploring. The city was just beautiful. There were lemons everywhere! This are is also known for it’s Olives. We saw many Olive trees, cherry trees and lemon trees. These lemons were HUGE!
We stopped for lunch with the McKays and Okamitsus. The food wasn’t that great, but the company more than made up for it! Cheers!
We loaded up the bus and headed down the Amalfi Coast. It was unbelievable! I really can’t describe how beautiful it was. But, I do know, of all the places we went, this is the place I want to return to most of all.
After the drive of the Amalfi Coast, we headed to Pompeii.
Pompeii, as you prbably know, is the archeological remains of a city buried under a volcanic explosion in 79 AD. It’s interesting, yes. But, it was also very crowded and very big.
I won’t bore you with all the pictures of stone (because that’s basically all there was). But, there were some casts of the victims and that was very moving.
When we returned to the ship, the clouds had finally lifted and we had a beautiful view of the Volcano.
Our pillow gift arrived while we were getting read for dinner.
Earlier, I had received the stamp set, and now I received the rest of the beautiful Floral Boutique Suite.
After dinner, Ted and I discovered the Shuffle Board!!
We love playing shuffle board… LOL! I don’t know why, but we always do!
It was a great ending to a really great day.
Stop back tomorrow for more pictures!
