Mediterranean Cruise- Cinque Terre

Hello and welcome back! Today, I’m sharing pictures from our day in Cinque Terre. Ted and I were on our own (without out travel buddies) for this excursion, but we had so much fun exploring the small villages all perched on the cliffs of Tuscany. My mom has told me so many times about Cinque Terre, as it’s her favorite spot in Italy. I couldn’t wait to see it for myself!
The colorful villages are all built precariously up the mountain. They farm on the hills going up and around the village. It keeps the land from sliding rightist the ocean!

Their little “ports” are so small that they pull them up into the village when not in use.

Our tour was with Norwegian Cruise, and unfortunately, I dan’t remember our tour guides name! She was great!

There were so many beautiful little corners. I just took picture after picture!

It was such an amazing opportunity to have 10 days with my husband in Europe. I mean, when does that happen!?! We left the kids at home with my parents (thank you Mom and Dad!!!) and I was nervous about that. But what a blessing for ted and I to have this time for just the two of us.

In Monterosa, We saw this beautiful black and white building peeking from around the corner.

We found that it was a CHURCH! Wow!

Even the inside was black and white! It was St. John the Baptist Church and was built (completed) in 1307.

To get form town to town, you can walk, take a train or ride a boat. We took the boat! The view was spectacular!!

I loved all the laundry lines.

There was no shortage of food, as always. Gelato is SO GOOD!

 Beautiful flowers everywhere!

This was the beach in Montorosso. Wouldn’t you love to spend a day here!?

We had a yummy little lunch in Vernazza. We didn’t want to waste time sitting and eating, so we ate and walked!

We were so sad to leave Cinque Terre. It is just beautiful! It was however crowded as well. 🙁
And of course, we had a pillow gift waiting for us.

The new Tin of Cards and matching stamp set!!
