I received an award from one of my very favorite blogs, Paper Pal Arts. Best Dressed of 2010. Wowzers! Thanks PPA Team. I am honored to say the least!
Yesterday, Hubby and I decided to paint the palyroom. It’s a discusting place where my children do things I don’t even want to know about. If boys are grosser/messier than girls, I could not even imagine! These girls are slobs!
So, anyway, “painting” snowballed into many other things. One being the “Gallery Wall.” I’ve been wanting a special place to show my kids artwork for a while. I am raising a house full of artist and their art work is piling up! Luckily, I had all these things around the house. Hubby put up the trim and I applied the “Create” Decor Element I had originally ordered for my office, but has sat in the corner for 6 months. It was perfect for this wall!
That’s their new art space below the wall!
The ribbon is, of course, my favorite ribbon ever! SU’s 1 1/4″ Grossgrain Night of Navy and Marina Mist.
The other wall has these cute polkadots. A sunday school room at our church has big polka dots and I’ve always wanted to do them! I gathered several lamp shades from around the house and traced them right on the wall. I hand painted them in . The colors are, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Marina Mist… OK, not really, but that was what I wanted them to be! LOL! This quote is from a local craft store.
So, this makes post # 3 for me today! See what happens when I am not working! I get lots of fun stuff done!
What great ideas!! I love the display "board" I think I will case that for my stamp room – and use it to display cards!! what a great idea!! thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness, what a bright and cheery collection you have there from your children. And a very unique way to showcase it. I am sure this will get many years of use, and definitely be something they will remember for a long, long time! 🙂 TFS with us! I followed a link to your blog from a fellow stamper at SCS who used the teabag gift pocket wallet. Sooo glad I did. 🙂 Kelly
