Brrrr! It’s finally cold here in South Texas! I made this week’s HSS card while freezing and wishing we had snow every now and then instead of just a wet cold. Ha! Oh well…
This weeks color challenge is fun and fresh! Create a card or project using blushing bride, pool party, pear pizazz, and real red and share it with us using the linky tool at the bottom of this post.
I’m experimenting with new card photo op places. This one’s not bad! Anyhow, I used the tree from Snow Much Fun. I stamped it on Pear Pizzaz DSP using Staz On White and then embossing it with White Embossing powder. I stamped the birds in Staz on Black on Blushing Bride DSP.
I used a blender pen and Pool Party to give it some snow shadow. The tree and birds are cut out and added to the watercolor paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I substituted Poppy Parade for Red. It worked better for me.
Stamps: Snow Much Fun, Tiny Tags
Ink and Paper Staz On (White and Black), Pool Party, Domestic Goddess DSP, Pear Pizzaz DSp, Blushing Bride DSP, Poppy Parade CS, Pool Party CS, Whisper White CS, Watercolor Paper
Other: Big Shot: 3″ and 3 1/2″ Circle Dies, Tasteful Trims Die, Poppy Parade Ribbon, Tiny Tag Punch, Pinking Heart Punch, White Twine, Jingle Bells, Stampin Dimensioals, Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder
So, is it cold where you are? I am sure it probably is much colder than here… Our “cold” is really nothing to you Northerners!
Come play with us at HSS this week! Make sure you LINK BACK so we can come gush over your gorgeous artwork!
Have a great Tuesday!
Oh, the poppy works great! Going to have to remember that! I love all the pattern here and the white embossed tree, I would have never thought to do that. It's so cute!
Such a fun embossed tree and cute little pink birds! I think your new photo spot is great! 🙂
Love the cute little pink birds on the tree! Would never have thought to use this DSP for a Christmas card, but it works wonderfully!
Love how you embossed the tree and added the birds. Super cute!
