HSS #83- Clean and Simple

Clean and Simple. Not really what I would call my style (or my desk, house, car, etc. LOL!) However, I love cards that are Clean and Simple, so I try to emulate it from time to time. This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiment has given me the push to try and keep it CAS .

Do you send Halloween cards? I never do, but I like to use them as simple Thank You cards in October. It gives me a great excuse to use my Halloween stamps! This adorable one is from a set called Scaredy Cat.

You can’t see it, but I also used the spider image and stamped it with Versa Mark all over the Pumpkin Pie DSP, then embossed it with clear embossing powder. It adds a little pizazz to my CAS design. This simple striped Pumpkin Pie DSP is from the Brights DSP Stack. Probably my #1 most used item from the whole IBC. If you have not purchased one of these stacks yet, you are really missing out!

The bow is Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (retired color.) I cut off both sewn edges to create a little bit of a rough edge.  Brad is a Glimmer Brad. Bling- Bling!

Now, what kind of beautiful Clean and Simple card can you create? Please give it a try and come back to HSS and link up with so we can see what you’ve done!

Have a great Tuesday!

  1. Love this card! I do the same thing with my Halloween cards – they all get used as thank you cards! 🙂

  2. This is fun – love the two different directions for the stripes – the paper and ribbon are perfect together.

  3. I must see this card in person. I would love to see it in person so I can see your very subtle web image. So simple but with WOW! Love the Halloween theme for a thank you cards in October. Great idea!

  4. Cute card!!! Halloween is a favorite time of the year for me!! So anything with a spooky cat or frightful ghost, I LOVE!! What fun!!! Wonderful choice of colors and then embossing those spiders. I can't wait to see it in person!!! Amy

  5. Love your card. That cat image is the best! I totally agree with the DSP stacks. I just bought them a few months ago and have used them more than anything. Don't know why I waited so long.

  6. This is stripe-tastic, Erica! I really like how you added the embossed web images, too. They add a subtle pop! I also agree with you about the DSP stacks. I love that you always have matching patterned paper for your cards! Thanks for reminding me that I still "need" the brights pack. Lol! 🙂
