Today at Hand Stamped Sentiments, we’ve got a pretty interesating challenge for you! In fact, one I had never hear dof! I had to go watch the tutorial myslef to find out what it was!
I decided to go with a stary night background using the black magic technique. I love how it turned out!

I had to borrow a few colored pencils form my daughter! Yep, good old Crayola will work if you don’t have fancy ones!
I tied my bow using Pumpkin Pie Satin Ribbon and an old Gingham Ribbon. The Sentiment is from a current Hostess Set.
I just love how this created a metallic look. All I used was the White Staz On and the Heat gun and then colored it with pencils! Awesome!
So, please join us at HSS this week and do a little Black Magic of your own!
And, in case you’ve forgotten:

Eep! Your card does rock! The stars just jump right off the card, I like that the colors are variegated. You did a great job, and managed to make a black card bright!
Very cool! Love the stars against the black 'sky'.
Great card! Love your stars.
Love the great color combo- the colors work perfect with the black magic technique!! Love the layout and perfect accents- Very Cute!!!
fun rocker card Erica!
Super cute card. I love the starry night theme! I saw your post on your work area and now you've motivated me to get my area cleaned up to show if off on my blog. Thanks for the kick in the butt.
Love this! So simple but so cute! I never would have thought to do a background! Now I need to have me some kids so I can use their colored pencils since I don't have any;-)
