Happy Watercolor

Hi everybody! Oh my goodness!! Time got away from me this weekend and I have neglected you! I am so sorry! It has been GORGEOUS here and we did lots of family stuff and lots of yard work! I’m exhausted! I kept saying, I need to go get some work done… and it just didn’t happen! But, that’s ok, we had a wonderful family filled weekend!
But, I do have something to share. This is another sample I made for last September’s Founder’s Circle. It features Happy Watercolor.
I think this was my favorite sample of them all. Grey isn’t one of my go to colors, but I loved how it worked for this card. I also used Calypso Coral. I stamped the sentiment on one of the Eatercolor Wonder Designer Notecards and cut it out with an Oval Framelit. These notecards are wonderful! They are watercolor paper! Very unique!

SO let me just show you a few pictures from our outing on Saturday. We headed out of town for a festival… that doesn’t start till next weekend… sigh… yea. Everyone was very irritated after the hour drive to discover that we weren’t getting to play and have fun at the strawberry festival. But, after some ice cream and a potty break, we were ok. We also discovered several AMAZING wildflower displays.

This year’s wildflower crop is stunning! It’s just so vibrant! If you’ve never been to Texas in the Spring, you are missing out! Our roadside displays of flowers are unlike anything!

You’ve just got to be careful and lookout for the rattlesnakes and sticker burs!!

And, the reason we were out doing fun stuff was because it was this little ladie’s 7th birthday!! She was So disappointed that we weren’t going to the strawberry festival. Look at her shirt!! But, we headed downtown and did the Children’s Museum and the rainforest Cafe, so all was good after all!

OK, I know you are ready to move on… I’ll be back on Tuesday with TWO posts!! And that’s NOT an April Fools joke!
Have a great Monday!

  1. Your card is inspiring, as always!
The wildflower pics make me miss central Texas. I grew up in SA. My bluebonnets here have just started to flower and paints are scarce. Thanks for the beautiful pics.
    Ps: Go Rangers!

  2. Wow Erica, what a gorgeous field of flowers!! Your family is gorgeous too!! Would you be willing to share how you take your pictures and what camera you use? Your photos are always so amazing!! Thanks for sharing!
