Pardon me while I brag for a second. I know, you might want to skip down to the card, but I just have to give you a little back info in order to explain today’s card!
Saturday was filled with a little of this…
A little of this sweet girl (my middle child) beaming with self confidence…
Some of this beautifulness…
And followed with a lot of this!
It’s an amazing feeling when you see something in your child that is truly special! That’s how I felt on Saturday when I watched our 6 year old compete in her second gymnastics meet! She sparkled! She shined! She was so proud and so confidant. And those two things are new for her. So, it made us feel so good that she had grown so much this year.
So, with all that said, I wanted to make a card to thank her coach. She has brought out something marvelous in my child and I want her to know how much I appreciate what she’s done! And, as you can clearly see, I used her leotard as the inspiration for my card.
(Please excuse the pics, it’s been yucky here and I can’t get a good picture before I give it to her tomorrow!) I pulled out my Great Sport stamp set and embossed it in Melon Mambo on Basic Black Cardstock. I then cut it out with a Deco Label Framelit. I added some more swirls on the back paper with a retired set called Baroque Motifs.
I also used my retired star punch to add some shine with the Silver Foil Paper. I also added lots of Candy Dots and Rhinestones.
A circle punch and some Silver Glimmer paper were layered under the star. I had trouble finding the right sentiment. Alot of them were too fancy or too thick. I ended up using this one from So Very Grateful. I also added a Silver Twine bow.
I fancied up the inside to hold a gift card treat for her as well.
I hope she knows how much we appreciate her and the time she has spent with Emma. It’s so nice to see your child succeed and grow in a positive way. It’s important to me to make sure those people who help make that happen know just how much it means to me.
I hope you have a WARM Tuesday. I’ll be back tonight with the Artisan Blog Hop!
