Gift Card Holder #1-White Christmas

Good morning everyone! This week is all about the Gift Card Holders for me. I am handing out gift cards right and left to all the wonderful people who educate my children! I can’t thank them enough, really. My children have big personalities and they probably test their teachers and coaches at times, but they all do such an amazing job at not only teaching my girls, but also loving on them and building their confidences. How can I not treat them with something special?

So today, this gift card is going to the 4H sponsor my oldest adores. She loves Starbucks, so that’s what she’s getting!

I like to design the card around the gift card itself. This one was easy- use the Woodlands Embossing Folder. This embossing folder was originally placed on the Holiday Catalog Retiring List and sold out almost immedietly. But, good news! SU announced they have decided to bring it back in the summer’s Annual catalog! Yay! So if you don’t have it, don’t worry, you can get it again soon.

I inked the folder with Whisper White ink. I did this just by patting the ink pad along the side of the folder that sticks out. I then embossed the Crumb Cake Cardstock. This gives the trees a snowy look.

I then used the White Christmas stamp set. This one isn’t in the Holiday Catalog, it’s actually in this year’s Annual Catalo.g. I stamped it again on White and cut out the little banner pieces and glued them on top of the first stamped image.

I repeated the snow woods on the inside and created a little pocket. It’s really a faux envelope. I just glued a piece os Whisper White like a pocket, and then made the little triangle part by rounding the corner of a square and cutting it diagonally. I stamped the sentiment from Reason For the Season.

Ok, that’s it for me today1 DOn’t forget about the big Year End Sale and BINGO!
It’s Stampin’ Up’s HUGE Year End Sale!
