TGIF! Who Hoo! Yep, my favorite day of the week! And, it’s also time for a new Friday Mashup! Yay! This is the third week of my Guest Design Team Member month and again, I love it!
So here is the “Mashup” Challenge
:
:
- Make a project ” with a Decorative Edge! “
- Or Make a project with ” Ribbon and or a Bow.
“ - Or “Mash it
Up” and create a project ” with a Decorative Edge & Ribbon
“.
Such a cute and fun picture! I was inspired to use both. I’m a perfectionist like that LOL! I’ve been playing around with a card that features all the new In Colors for my upcoming Catalog Kick Off Party. I like how this one turned out!
The new in colors, from top to bottom are: Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse. I love every single one of them. They are definitely members of the Regals family, that’s for sure!
I cut them into 1 1/2″ strips and layered them on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I then used the new Apothecary Accents Die to cut them out together. Easy!! I added them onto another Very Vanilla base that has been embossed with Lots of Dots.
I laced a piece of Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon from top to bottom. I stamped the sentiment and cupcake (also new hostess set!) and cut them out using the Decorative Label punch. Yea, I’m not gonna lie, it was hard! I did it really easy on my practice piece. The, it took me about 20 more tries to get this shape right. I punched it out and then stuck it to a post it and fed it back into the punch and shortened and angled the punch. This is going to take some practice.. This weekend, it’s on my to do list!
So, there is my Mash Up! What do you think? I like it! Now, are you a perfectionist too? Can you make a cad with both a decorative Edge and ribbon? Even if you just do one, we will still love ya! Make sure you come back and link up with us at The Friday Mash Up!
Warning! Bragging Alert!!
My 3rd grader had Market days yesterday at school. They are learning about the economy in Social Studies. They each have to create a business and make a product and then the whole school comes shopping! She has been waiting for this day for years! Its a HUGE deal! So, she made Flip Flop Flowers. Little flowers that can clip on to any flip flop!
I can honestly say, she did it all herself. She worked that Hot Glue Gun like a pro! She sold them 2/$1, or 50 cents for 1. She sold out before 5th grade even got there! She was so thrilled!
When I went in to see her, she was so busy and serious, she didn’t even want me talking to her! LOL! A future Stampin Up Demo one day? Maybe!
Have a GREAT Friday!

Congratulations to Ellie, carrying on the family tradition! Crafts and sales, it's in her blood. Love it.
That is too cute. I am sure you really had a proud mommy moment and probably almost shed a tear. I would. That is so awesome!
Your daughter has a great role model in ypu. She and her sisters are so darling!
Great job on the sale. It's so good to have the right product and achieve success. You have a beautiful blog and a beautiful family. Enjoy those sweet ones. They grow up so fast.
What a great way to show off all of the new colors!
Sounds like your DD is quite crafty already!
This card is a great showcase for the new colors. It almost has all the right colors for this month's Stampin' Celebration too. Your daughter did an awesome job!
