Happy Friday! Today is a great day because #1- It’s The Friday Mashup Challenge! and #2- I’m leaving this morning for an all weekend scrapbook retreat! Whoo Hoo!!
Love this week’s challenge! A sketch and “birds.” And my new set “For the Birds” arrived just in time!
So here is the “Mashup” Challenge :
- Make a project using ” the Sketch “.
- Or Make a project featuring ” Birds “.
- Or “Mash it Up” and create a ” project using the above Sketch featuring Birds “.
I started out following the sketch, but then I wandered.. But, for the most part, it’s similar! This new set called “For the Birds” is so cute. But, I was on the fence about ordering it. It was the last thing I added to my order on June 1 (the day ordering opened for the new catalog!) And, low and behold, it’s the first set I use! I’m SO glad I got it! Also, I used a new Edgelet. It’s beautiful and so easy to use! It’s part of the Finishing Touches Edgelet set. It goes through the Big Shot.
The little Tempting Turquoise butterfly is from the Beautiful Wings Embosslet. It’s sitting on a paper bead. These are pretty trendy right now. They were in our recent Demonstrator magazine, Stampin’ Success, and Erika Clark had a great tutorial last week for her HSS design team project. Check it out. They are so simple.
I used two techniques on this image. I paper pieced the wagon base, and used blender pens and Stampin’ Write Markers on the rest. I love the way it pops off the page! Oh, and the DSP- YUMMY! New, again! Who doesn’t love polka dots!
Thanks so much for joining us this week at The Friday Mashup! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
