This week’s challenge is one that actually required me to Google! And, I’m so glad I did! I’m now in love….

So here is the “Mashup” Challenge :
  1. Make a project using ” Scraps of Pattern Paper or Ribbons “.
  2. Or Make a ” Scrapling “.
  3. Or “Mash it Up” and create a ” Scrapling using Scraps or Pattern Paper or Ribbons. “.
I didn’t know what a Scrapling was! Here is how Heidi describes it:
A scrapling is a little card, notecard, or tag that you would make out of the scraps that are left from your card stock after making a square card. What do I mean? If you started with an A2 card base, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″, and then cut it down to make a 4-1/4″ square card, there would be a 1-1/4 x 4-1/4″ base left. That’s the starting point for your scrapling. It could also be 1-1/2 x 4-1/4″, if you had made a 4 x 4″ square card previously. It is lots of fun to decorate this small space!
Whoa! Hold the paper cutter! This is so CUTE!!! And, do I have scraps… Uhm, yea! Remember my scraps HERE. Looks just like the inspiration photo! LOL! I decided to use some scraps I had left over from last weekend’s Catalog Kick Off. They were actually the exact right size!
How nice would it be to have a bunch of these sitting around for all those little gifts that you have to give? Awesome, huh?

And.. So. Simple.

I even made a little envelope for them. Cute!

Alright. These will now be my new addiction! I want to see more! Please hook up with us at The Friday Mashup and show us your ideas! Remember, you can make a Scrapling or just something with scraps.
Ok, now for the Blog Candy! I will be giving one of my In Color Stitched Satin Ribbon Shares! To enter, leave me a comment and give me a suggestion for a future Mash Up challenge! I have to come up with some and I’d love some ideas! I will announce the winner (random draw)  next Friday! Thanks for stopping by and for leaving me a comment!
Don’t forget to come back in a little while for another post! It’s Blog Hop time!

  1. I'm so glad that you joined this team. Like I told you the other day I can always tell one of your cards. Love them!

  2. Wow Erica, you certainly had fun with these! I love the little matching envelope – sooo cute!!

  3. Wow, Erica, you really went to town with the scrapling concept! These are super cute and I love that you made a matching envelope. Awesome!

  4. Love these! They'd be so fun to have around. I don't really know what 'mash-up' is, but I have an idea that might work. Use something you started, but set aside for one reason or another, and never finished.

  5. Super cute cards! I love cards that are a little different than the A2 size. And, I have to say, I saw your scrap storage here a couple of weeks ago and converted my box/pile – LOVE IT! Thanks for the idea!

  6. Love scraplings! They get rid of all those little scraps easily and quickly! Love the envelope, too! For a future Mashup idea: How about everyone makes a card that mostly uses their favorite color? It would be interesting to know everyone's favorite. Thank you for sharing!

  7. These came out so cute!! I love that you made envelopes for them what a great idea! Welcome to the Team.. How fun to have some Blog Candy!

  8. Scrapings – what a fun idea! I seldom make square card, but now I must so I can make a uniquely sized card 🙂
