Hello everybody! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! As many of you know, my husband tool me to Colorado for the weekend for my birthday! I’m a bit obsessed with the National Parks, so we went to Estes Park to visit Rocky mountain National Park. It was incredible! The Quaking Aspen were right at their peak and were breathtaking!
We hiked 6 1/2 miles the first day, kind of accidentally, We decided to take an offshoot from the trail we were on and then got lost on the way back! I loved it, but hubby wasn’t a fan! Ha! We were BEAT afterwards, but the scenery was worth every step!
The next day we hiked a trail called Emerald Lake trail and saw the most beautiful lakes I’ve ver seen in my entire life! This one was almost five miles, but easier than the day before.

The third day, we were pretty tired, so we took a long drive via the Peak to Peak Scenic Bypass. It was hand down, the prettiest drive I’ve ever taken! We stopped at this little creek and the aspens were just glorious!
We also saw LOTS of Elk. My husband was so excited!
We finished off the third day with an easy couple of walks around Estes Lake and Lily Lake.
It was an amazing birthday weekend. It’s amazing what a couple of days in the mountains can do for your soul!
Today’s card is one I made a while back, but forgot about it! I found it while I was cleaning up last week and set it aside to take a photo. Then, I promptly spilled my Diet Coke on it! ACK! But, I stick wanted to show you. It features the adorable Freezin’ Fun bundle, as well as the pink plaid printed paper from the Plaid Tidings DSP pack.
