Football Fan

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today, I am kicking off my Football Fan series. I don’t make very many “masculine” cards, but this stamp set jumped out at me and I knew I would have fun with it. I need masculine cards, I don’t know why I don’t make more of them. And then there is the debate- do masculine cards have bows? Well, I say yes! Football season always means the start of Fall to me, so of course, that means I love it! I was actually a football recruit hostess when I was at Baylor University in the late 1990s. So, I would say I do love the game! I hope you find this week’s projects fun and gives you a little peek of Fall.

We’ve had this pack of paper called A Wonderful Match for a while and I haven’t used it. (It’s on sale this month!!) Even though the coordinating soccer bundle has retired, the paper has remained and I think it’s because it coordinates well with the Football Fan stamp set. I also used my favorite Gingham Gallery DSP. This stamp set has no dies, so I did do quite a bit of fussy cutting this week. I also used a sneak peek die set called Scalloped Christmas Cheer Dies. They will be out on September 1st. I stamped a piece of Basic White Cardstock with Early Espresso footballs, Peaceful Pine stars and some Pecan Pie “grunge” from Gears & Textures. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink on a Basic Gray Sweet Words and Labels die and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. I added a Silver Foil star (cut with the Service Essentials dies) and a Peaceful Pine bow.

The foam hand is stamped in Peaceful Pine ink and cut out with scissors. I mounted it with a Wobbles so it wiggles on the card. (affiliate link)

Inside, I added a piece of Basic White Cardstock with the football and star stamped. I did fold over the front panel to make a gift card holder as well.
