I’m excited to host my first challenge over at
The Friday Mashup! This week’s photo shows off something I love to use- Stick Pins! And, I also chose to go with a “vintage” style challenge because this is my weakness! I need to be pushed in this area! I think I did pretty well stepping out of my box this week!
So here is the “Mashup” Challenge:
- Make a project with a “Stick Pin on it.”
- Or Make a “Vintage” project.
- Or “Mash it Up” and create a “Vintage project with a Stick Pin on it.”
I am so excited about my card this week! this stamp set was what I received from the Prize Patrol on the last day of convention! It’s definitely not my kind of stamp set, and if I hadn’t seen Carrie Cudney demo it, i wouldn’t have probably even opened it. But, now, I want to use it every day! It’s a two step stamp set which means you stamp the base and then stamp the lines on top (using the Stamp a Majig).
I feel like it really creates an amazing image. It looks like something printed already. Nope, just me and my ink! 🙂 You’ve got to give this set a try!
And, I think this is a great set to create a vintage feel! I added a now retired hat pin to the bow and glued on a Vintage Faceted Button. Perfection! 😉
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Delicate Doilies
Ink and Paper: Calypso Coral, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Comfort Cafe DSP, World Spectacular
Other: Big Shot, 3 1/2″ Circle Die,Large Scallop Circle Die, Finishing Touches Edgelet, Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon, Hat Pin, Vintage Faceted Buttons, 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, Stampamajig
I also used these two challenges to create my card:

Funny how you and Lili used the same stamp set! Love those hat pins from the previous mini… hope they come out with more!
I got this set too from Prize Patrol and probably wouldn't have used it either, had I not seen Carrie demo it. Vintage style is my weakness too! Great card.
Very pretty card, love the effect of the two step stamping.
Gorgeous card Erica! Love the colours you've used, the circle shaped card and that stamp set is beautiful – can't wait to get my hands on it! Thanks for the FAB challenge this week!
Be still my heart! That is some fabulous vintage. I've been through 3 packs of hat pins already, all for my own cards! LOVE your round card, the gorgeous fussy cut flower, and the vintage button on your pin!
Wonderful vintage card, Erica! That stamp set looks great on this card! Thanks for the fun challenge – I really enjoyed it 🙂
