Flowering Desert

Hello everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend! I have could of Flowering Desert cards to share with you today. I created these back in January with plans to do something with them… but then never did! So, I want to share them with you before it retires for good!
The Flowering Desert stamp set is like a puzzle- you use all the little pieces to build your cactus. They can be as big or as small as you’d like. You can also use any of the greens Stampin’ Up has to offer- which are many! Here I used Garden Green, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow along with the retiring Berry Burst.

Next, I created a larger Prickly Pear cactus. I also rolled the edges of some of the stamps in Gorgeous Grape to create some of the dark purple sections. I created fringe on both of the bards just by snipping along the long side of a piece of cardstock with my scissors.

A few weeks ago, I used this set to create a set of #simplestamping cards for my new team members. I used the retiring colors Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.

I live in South Texas where we have lots of cactus. I snapped this photo on my morning walk just last week. Isn’t it amazingly beautiful!

If you love the Flowering Desert stamp set as much as me, make sure you get it before it’s gone for good. You can also receive it in my class to go this month. You can find the details below.
