Fiesta!

Here in San Antonio, we have a HUGE even every Spring called Fiesta. It started in 1891 in honor the heroes that fought in the battles of the Alamo and San Jacento (thank you Google!) Today it’s a 2 week party with 3 parades and nightly events, pageants and lots of fun! So, when I saw this cute little pinata on the Packed for Birthday a la cart stamp, I had to get it!

Fiesta also means PARTY! So, this card could be used for a birthday!

I colored just the pinata on the busy stamp with the Basic Black Stampin’ Marker. I drew the line with a ruler and then colored him in with more Stampin’ Write markers. A little twine bow adds a tad of dimension.

The letters were cut with the now retired Go Go Boots Sizzlits. The ric rac was cut from my old faithful Tasteful Trims Die.

I stamped the banner from the same stamp on the inside and added the sentiment for the also retired Family Phrases.

I used this sketch from Clean and Simple for this card.
