Hey everybody!! You will not believe what are theme this month for Fancy Friday is!!
This month, we were challenged to go Back to the ’80s! What?! This is an awesome theme. But, I’m not gonna lie- it’s a hard one! If I had stopped at a challenge blog and this was the theme, I would have closed the page.. LOL!
But as with most challenges, it really pushed me to work and think and I am thrilled with the end result!
I chose to use the paint splatter background DSP from the Playful Pallet stack. I added that to a black card base. Then, I watercolored three bright colors (Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie) on Watercolor Paper. When that was dry, I splattered some black acrylic paint. I used the new Large Letters Framelits and cut out the word. I added the You Are from Labeler Alphabet.
And, to be extra fancy (and because it was a Basic Black card base!!) I decorated the inside too!
I again splattered a Whisper White cardstock piece and added Washi Tape and a sentiment from Thankful Thoughts in Pumpkin Pie.

Stepping out of our comfort zone yields great results! Love the card and love the offset dsp on the front. Cindy's card tells me I need the numbers and yours tells me I need to get over the price tag of the letters and realize just how fabulous they are!
