Hello everybody! It’s time for Facebook Friday! I hope you can join me for an hour of distraction and fun stamping!
This week’s Facebook Friday projects feature the Birthday Jubilee bundle! I love this set! It really reminds me of the Fiesta spring event we have here in San Antonio. Couldn’t we all use a big festive party right about now?
In case you’ve never joined me for Facebook Live, I go live every week, (typically on Friday at 2:00 CST) on my Pink Buckaroo Stampers Group page with three projects. Everyone is welcome to join!
If you are unable to join me live, I will upload the recording here afterwards.
I was very inspired to use this set because it reminds me of the “paper picado” that are strung across the streets downtown here in San Antonio. These are a Mexical folk art and are usually cut from brightly colored tissue paper. Below, you can see a picture of Market Square, here in my home town.
Aren’t they fun!? I’ve lived in San Antonio for 35 years (almost my whole life) and, to me, these are a symbol of the beautiful culture here. I love them!
My first project is a card I CASED from my friend Cyndi Schuster. She created hers in soft, subtle colors, so I decided to take a bright, bold approach, just like I see downtown. My colors are Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch.
Clean Recording Can Be Found Here.
Next up, I’m sticking with the southwestern flair! I created a punch art cactus! What do you think? Does it look like a cactus? It’s layered over a Melon Mambo set of the “paper picador.”
And last, I’ve got a gift card holder made from Pineapple Punch cardstock. Did you know Pineapple Punch is retiring? It’s so bright and cheerful. I’m going to miss that color!
They have all the products I used and measurements for each project.
