I love this little note card set! It combines all my favorite things! And, it was a cinch to make! Before I started, I thought about who I was going to make it for. This time of year, I am making gifts right and left, but this wasn’t a Christmas Themed Gift… So I decided to make it for my BFF at work. She doesn’t celebrate holidays, so I always feel like I don’t get to show her enough how much I cherish our friendship. I never think to make her something when it’s not a holiday! So, this was the perfect time and gift to make for her!
Crumb Cake, Rainbows, and Pennants? Uhm, Yes Please!! My 3 favorite things to design with!!
Inside the little box are five rainbow note cards with my friend’s monogram. I used the Morning Post Alphabet again in each of the rainbow colors: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Marina Mist. These happen to be 5 of the 6 colors in the Polka Dot Parade DSP packs.
Using the Simply Scored, I was also able to make coordinating envelopes! Love that!
The cards are blank inside and can be used for anything! I kept the design simple, I really like simple cards. I do, however, have a hard time keepin’ in simple, so when I do, I’m always so proud of myself! LOL!!
The White 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain ribbon was a perfect way to “tie” them all together! I used the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch to punch out the “S” and layered over a Naturals Specialty DSP Square and a Cardstock Scalloped Square cut with the Scalloped Square Duos Die and Big Shot.
They fit so nicely!
The front of the box uses the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, 1 1/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch, hand cut Polka Dot Parade pennants, Whisper White Twine and the Window Framelits. The tiny little scallops on the Pennants are from the Itty Bitty Scallop Circle Punch and the heart from the Owl Punch.
I know you are going to want a tutorial for this cute little guy, so stay tuned! Once we get through the Christmas Craziness, I will post one! I have lots of things planned once we get through the Christmas Craziness!
