A Crafty Week…

We have had such a busy week. The girls spent all week working on their pumpkins for our school’s Pumpkin Patch (more on that below) and I spent the week getting read for stamp clus and a trip out of town. Wheew! So, sorry for the brief absence!

Today, I created a card for the Play Date Cafe’s One Year Anniversary Challenge. The inspiration is below:

And, because I like to be effecient, I also used a sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and the inspiration challenge from Paper Pal Arts!

I used some beautiful DSP called Sweet and Sour. I love this paper!

Stamps: Curly Cute
Ink and Paper: Sweet and Sour DSP, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla
Other: Scallop Circle Punch, Designer Buttons, Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Big Shot, Nesties, Modern label Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals

This week at our school, the Art teachers sponsers a Pumpkin Patch. The kids are to decorate a pumpkin to represtnt their favorite book character. Ellie, my 2nd grader, shose Harry Potter!

We saw some pumpkin dioramas online somewhere, and we thought it would be gun to do a Hogwarts scene. We worked together on this all week. Daddy cut the pumpkin (its fake) and then Ellie got to wrk. She painted the edges and the floor with acrylic paint. We cut some scrapbook paper up and she glued it in as wall paper.

Together, we worked with the Cricut. We pulled up images on the internet and used Paper Dolls cart to make the little characters to match them. It was a long and tedious job because these guys are pretty small. We ran to HL and bought some miniature things to put on the inside. Last, we made the banner!

My 3 year old’s pumpkin had to be much simpler obviously. We chose to make a little fairy from this Angel Cat Sugar book. She painted and colored in the spots. It turned out pretty good too!

Thanks for stopping by! Today I am working on a new class I am planning. Stay tuned for details.. It should be fun!
