Chinese New Year Love- FMU 94

TGIF! It’s been a short week, but it seems like it’s been a hectic week! So glad it’s Friday and that means it’s time for The Friday Mash Up!
I struggled a little with this challenge. It really took me out of my comfort zone! But, that makes it a good challenge, right?

  1. Make a project with a Chinese New Year (Year of the Snake) Theme“.
  2. Or Make a project using the “Paper Lantern Technique.
  3. Or “Mash it Up” and create a project for the “Chinese New Year featuring the Paper Lantern Technique”.

My oldest daughter is obsessed with Pandas right now! So, I used this opportunity to make her a Valentine’s Day Card. I created a big Punch Art Panda using the new Oval Framelits and few punche!

And, the big guy is holding a heart created with the Paper Lantern Technique!I used the Love You stamp from the single stamps that were offered in the fall. I meant to add a bow… but I must have gotten distracted. And, you can’t see it very well, but there is a tiny silver heart in the middle of the O.

So, step out of your comfort zone people and give this challenge a try! Make sure you check out the other designers for more inspiration and ten show us yours!

  1. Love your panda Erica! It is so adorable! Great idea to use the paper lantern technique on the heart.
    Hugs 😉

  2. Oh my goodness, this is too cute and clever for words Erica!! That panda is adorable, and I love the fact that it is holding the heart done with the 'lantern' technique – I'll say it again: very clever!!
