Blendabilities

Have you heard about Blendabilities yet? They are Stampin’ Up’s new alcohol markers. And, they aren’t available yet. They will be available to Stampin’ Up Demos on May 1, and SU customers on June 2. And,  Scrapbook and Cards Today will be featuring a several-page spread of Stampin’ Blendabilities in their issue that drops April 26, 2014.

As a member of Stampin’ Up’s Artisan Design Team, I received these this week to get a start on some design ideas. They are AMAZING!! They do take some practice, don’t get me wrong, but once you play with them you get the feel for them easily. And, lucky me, my mom (who is an Artist in real life and an art teacher) is here for Easter! She was able to give me a few pointers on shading and blending. Here is one of my first attempts.
Super cute!! That shoe! I love it but haven’t used it. These markers were the perfect thing I needed to get that shiny look I wanted. I used the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities to color and shade. I also use the Color Lifter. Not bad for a beginner, but I do have a lot to learn. I can’t wait to practice more!

This cute little shoe is from the Making a Point set. It is a Hostess set and you can only get it if you place an order or host a workshop of $150 or more. And, it will only be available until June 1!

I will have many more samples with the Blendabilities in the coming months. I have lots of learning to do and I do plan on sharing what I figure out with you. So, stay tuned and check back often!! Thanks for stopping by today!
