Big Shot Class- Project #1

On Friday, I held my first Big Shot class. I kept hearing my friends say “My Big Shot is still in the Box!” or “I don’t know how to use my Big Shot!” Whaaaat???!!! I knew it was time to get these girls moving with their awesome Big Shots! So, I planned two classes around different ways to use this awesome machine!

The first project was this sweet little card. Love this bright Lucky Limeade gingham! I showed my friends how easy it is to create gingham using your ink pad and the Stripes Embossing Folder. Lots of ooos and ahhhhs. Have you tried this yet? It give your projects big WOW factor!

It’s very simple: ink the raised side of your embossing folder, place your paper in and run it through. Reink the same side and place your paper in again, but this time turn it 90 degrees. Run it through again. and, that’s it!!

We stamped the watermelon from Mouthwatering and added some seeds from the Blossom Bouquet Triple Punch.  Another BBTP flower in First Edition DSP, a jewel from the Blossoms Kit and finished of with a Fabulous Phrase.

Last, we simply added a Scallop Border Punch edge in Melon Mambo. Simple card, but so bright and eye catching!
So, I didn’t update you on the movie I went and saw with my kids on Thursday. I did not want to see The Lorax. At all! In fact, I spent the first 15 minutes playing on my phone. But, that little Lorax came on the screen and he had my full attention! It was an ADORABLE movie! I highly recommend it. In fact, its the first movie EVER that my youngest (3) has ever sat  through. She is usually climbing up and down the stairs, asking to go potty 15 times, running up and down the isles. No this time!. She didn’t move once!
And, the music was awesome!!

  6. This card is awesome! I'll link to you on my blog — I want to use it tonight in my embossing technique class — we're using Mouthwatering to make a melon-scented embossed card and this would be a great technique to sneak in there! Thanks!
