Hello everyone! I am back from vacation and I feel rested and reunited. We drove to Memphis to see my parents first. Hubby and I then left the kiddos and “Camp Grandma,” and flew to NYC to spend a few days together to celebrate our 15 anniversary. It was an awesome trip!
Financial District. We took a walking tour and I was so inthralled by all the rich history! Hubby just wanted to play with the Charging Bull!!
If you like tours and history, I HIGHLY recommend you look in to Free Tours by Foot. It’s “free” and you just tip your tour guide at the end. They suggest $10. Each tour we took lasted 2 1/2-3 hours and were FULL of awesome info. Such a bargain!! This was one of our tour guides.. he was my favorite! 😉
Hubby wanted to see some baseball so we went to see the Yankees vs Redsox. It was again cool and breezy. We had great seats.
Hubby was in heaven!
We took the Statue Cruise over to the Statue of Liberty. Not really worth the money IMO. Once you get on the island, you really can’t see the Statue well! We walked up the 200 stairs just to get to the top of the pedestal. I thought I was going to die! I couldn’t even imagine walking another 200 to her crown!! LOL! The fairy continues on to Ellis Island, which was worth the money even though I could barely walk after climbing all those stairs!!
Statue Selfie! Ha!
Meanwhile, back at Camp Grandma, my babies were having the time of their life!!
Ok, so that’s where I’ve been! But now it’s back to business!!
I happen to have one extra kit for tomorrow’s Be the Star Stamp Class. If you would like to attend (In San Antonio) or if you’d like the class kit To Go, please EMAIL me ASAP. Fee includes the stamp set, materials to make four cards and PDF instructions.
