Hello! Welcome back to the Artisan Wednesday Wow Blog hop! Today is our last project from the “Halloween” box as I’m calling it. I’ve LOVED everything in this box…
Today’s project is a cute little banner I made with the Simply Created Banner Kit. I was inspired by a “dip dyed” banner on the SU blog about a month ago. I immediately thought “I can do that Candy Corn style!” I simply used blue painters tape and my Stampin’ Spritzers. It was so easy and the tape really held the ink back from each section!
I once again created the word “candy corn” in MDS using the Typeset Alphabet Punches. I merged it into the Cameo and cut it out of a Window Sheet. I then used it as a stencil and inked it with Sponge Daubers. I did the same with the heart. The “i” is an already made stencil in the banner kit.
I embellished it with some burlap ribbon that has the awesome Stampin’ Glitter on the ends. I used my Two Way Glue and rubbed it right in. It worked beautifully!
I finished it off with a couple of bows made from Basic Black Chevron Ribbon and a few Designer Buttons. I hot glued it all together and put it on short dowel rods. It will eventually be stuck down in my giant candy bowl! I couldn’t buy the candy this early… y’all know what happens to candy when it’s bought a month early right? please tell me I’m not the only one!! 😉
Thanks for stopping by again and now your off to my good friend Jane Lee! I can’t wait to see her project this week! Leave her and the rest of the design team some love!

Looks almost good enough to eat. I heart candy corn too! I LOVE how you put the glitter on the burlap ribbon…clever girl!
It seems that some of you have Halloween candy on the brain, lol! I just love this idea…wonderful as always!
I LOVE IT! Yummo!
That is so much fun – love it!!
Oh my. I heart candy. So does my daughter. And so. No way to buy early. I bought play dough and tattoos this year so I might be safe. We are not allowed to give sugar at daycare. You need to get creative! Eeeek
Aw-dorable!
Such a cute twist on the banners!
LOVE the glitter on the burlap ribbon!
It is this type of interesting thing with this post of yours. I had been interested with all the topic along with the flow in the story. Keep up to date the truly amazing work.
