Celebrations Kit Gift Set- Artisan Wednesday Wow

Hello everyone! Welcome to your next stop on the Artisan Blog Hop! We are already at the end of march and hopefully, you have enjoyed all the springy creations we’ve been bringing you. It’s been so nice to at least have spring inside if not outside!

Today, I am featuring a project I made witht eh Celebrations Basic Kit. It is intended  be a banner and party treat set. But, if you know me, I have to swim against the stream and make something totally different with it!

Recently, it was my daughter’s teacher’s birthday. And, I waited till the last minute to get her gift together!! I knew I was giving her a Stampin’ Up Gift Certificate (she LOVES SU too,) but had not made anything fancy to put it in. So,thankfully, I had  a SU kit come to the rescue!!

To hold the Gift Certificate, I stitched two of the banners together to make a pocket. I cut apart a treat bag to use as the strip across the pouch and added some Strawberry Slush banners (cut with the Perfect Pennants Framelits!) I stamped the sentiment from Perfectly Penned at the top with Baked Brown Sugar ink.

I cut a simple notecard and added one of the round tags from the kit to the top. I stamped the flower from Simple Stems in Strawberry Slush ink on Strawberry Slush cardstock. I did that twice and layered them with Dimensionals.

I just love how bold and bright an image is when you stamp it on the same color cardstock! And yes, my fussy cutting isn’t perfect, but I am sure she wasn’t looking at that! (OK, let’s hope!!)

We made her some cookies and put them in one of the little gift bags and decorated it in the same manner. The sentiment here is from Simply Celebrate. We finished it off by tying it together with a Strawberry Slush Ruffle Trim bow.
And there you have it!! A quick and easy gift that was created using a kit! It really makes things easy when most of the components of your projects are already cut for you!! Love that!
Alrighty, you are off to my friend Jane Lee. I can’t wait to see what this talented lady has in store this week. Make sure you keep hoping along and leave the ladies some love!
Have a great week!
