Hello everyone and welcome to the first Artisan Wednesday Wow Blog hop of 2014! I can’t believe this year (for Artisan) is halfway over already! It’s been amazing!!
This month’s box included the Retro Fresh DSP. I devoured this whole pack! I LOVE this paper!! And, it’s not my typical favorite colors. Tangerine Tango usually gets passed over in my office for Pumpkin Pie. But the combo of Tangerine Tango and Coastal Cabana really did it for me!! I LOVE this combo!
The project was born out of the need for a gift for a very sweet friend. A little something to let her know I love her and appreciate her. I wanted to make another camper and I thought it would be cute to make a “retro camper!”
I mean c’mon! That paper! I just can’t stop! Perfect for a camper too, right? And the little sign is from the MDS A Beautiful Today Kit. This kit actually includes classes with it too! I great investment! I changed the colors to match the Retro Fresh DSP and printed it off right at home!
I then made a card to go with the little camper. I think I used every thing in this month’s box for this card! I seriously LOVE this new Occasions catalog. It’s really fresh and trendy. And, as a Scrapbooker at heart, I think it’s a scrapbookers dream!! Look at all the things I used that could be embellishments on a sb page. So many options!!
Now, to complete my RETRO gift, I needed some RETRO candy. Cracker Barrel is the place to go to find unique candy y’all! Seriously, I find the BEST candy there! These two, Cow Tails and Chick O Sitcks, were just the right orange. Yes, I match my candy to my projects. Don’t you???
They were also light enough to put right into my little Retro Camper. How FUN!
