Well, here we are. the last day of the 2012 Artisan Blog Hop! I hope you have enjoyed it!
We want you to know that there is now an official Artisan Pinterest Board! You can follow the board and see everything in one place! Awesome! Check it out HERE!
So Cindy showed you her last, amazing project today. And, here is mine as well. I’ve saved the best for last!
I created this dress form from First Edition DSP and many, many other tools. I bought the paper mache body at a craft store and mounted it on a dowel and then on a wooden base, also bought at the craft store. I sat down one night and just started dressing her. I actually did the whole thing in one evening! I think out of all my projects, this was the easiest! It just flowed. Love that!
The bodice was made using the Doily Sizzlet and the Latice Die. The “cups” are Circle Scallops.
There are about 5-6 layers to the skirt. The bottom two layers were made with the accordion die.
I added vellum cardstock inside the bodice, crimped it all and then added Dazzling Details.
About 4-5 layers of lace pleats, several satin ribbon layers and a band of twill tape.
These were curled around a marker.
And every girl needs a pearl necklace for her best dress right? These are the Basic Jewels and White Twine.
The base had a “gift box” made from the Nugget Box. The “mirror” was flashing and Crystal Effects. The base and dowel were inked with a sponge and Soft Suede ink.
Sigh… I love her. I hope she is sitting on the desk of a SU concept artist somewhere and serving as inspiration.. LOL!
And there you have it! We also will be doing a Blog Hop the first Friday of every month showcasing that months facebook Project. Stay tuned here to see see the details! Or, just follow me on Facebook and know immediately!

Drop Dead GORGEOUS! Breathtaking! There was a great deal of demonstrators drooling over this project at Convention 2012! Well Done! Kim Smith
The fact that this didn't win is inexcusable! This is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen made with SU products! I LOVE it! You are so creative! I can't get over that this would "lose." Winner!!!
But Patti, it did win! Lol! This is part of my 10 submissions this year that earned me a spot on the Artisan Design Team! 🙂
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Please consider doing a tutorial, she is lovely!
This was one of my favourites at convention! Absolutely STUNNING! Such beautiful work 🙂
Shut. The. Front. Door. Erica! I have no words for this masterpiece. Simply marvelous. You are amazing!
This is one of the most amazing SU! projects I have ever, ever seen. It caught my eye right away amongst the various convention sample pictures and I'm grateful you showed us the details up close. I can't believe you did all of this in one evening. The inspiration muses were shining down on you that night!
Congrats again on your win – you absolutely deserve it!
Thank you so much Cindy! Coming frmo you, it means a lot! 🙂
Erica – your creations are true works of art. I can spot your designs and projects from a mile away, they are uniquely you and they inspire so many of us. This dress form is delightful and I love your attention to detail. thank you for sharing your blessings with us, I appreciate the beauty and dedication of your work.
Wow! Thank you so much! 🙂 What a wonderful thing to say…
That is just amazing Erica! You are an inspiration to so many. I wish she was sitting on my desk!!!
Erica- She is absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Congrats on the Artisan Award!
All I can say is WOW! This is so creative and unique. WOW, just WOW!
You certainly did save the best for last! Absolutely amazing, creative, and gorgeous project! I wish it was sitting on my desk 🙂
Wow….totally creative and amazing!! I would be heartbroken to think or know that these creations would end up in the trash! Why doesn't SU display the entries at Convention and the artists could show ID and take them home on the last day? Whatever was not taken by the artist by a certain time could be "discarded" somehow. If I worked at SU I'd be asking to take a ton of stuff home with me:) Just a thought maybe you could pass on since you're on the Design Team?
